POAC Peer Mentoring Program
Transitioning into graduate school can be a stressful experience. That’s why POAC is establishing a peer mentorship program to give new graduate & Ph.D. students helpful advice and support while navigating the program.
Peer mentors serve as graduate student life experts and may have suggestions about work-life balance, adjusting to graduate school, advisor/advisee relationships, etc. We hope to build lasting connections while setting each other up for success.

Program Expectations
-
Participants are free to set their own meeting schedules (in-person, virtual, call/text). We do ask that you attempt to connect at least once a month.
-
We expect each participant to make a good faith effort to communicate with their mentor/mentee.
-
Throughout the year, we will host different POAC events that will give you the opportunity to socialize with each other in person.
-
Mentors/mentees will be matched based on interests, program track, etc.
